Equilateral triangles are very special. The sum of the angles of EVERY triangle total 180 degrees. Thus, each angle in an equilateral triangle measures 180/3= 60 degrees.
------------------------------------
To find the side with the height:
Length of side = (2/√3)*h
Length of side = (2/√3)*6 = 6.93

What's the are of an equilateral triangle with a height of 6
When the altitude is drawn, 2 special 30-60-90 right triangles are created
Longer leg, or altitude = 6
Shorter leg of each special triangle will be 6%2Fsqrt%283%29, or 2sqrt%283%29
Hypotenuse of special triangle, or each side of given triangle = 2+%2A+2sqrt%283%29, or 4sqrt%283%29
Area = %281%2F2%29b+%2A+h%29 ------> %281%2F2%29+%2A+4sqrt%283%29+%2A+6 -------> highlight_green%2812sqrt%283%29%29
