Question 930798: if measure of angle A=60 degrees and side AB=5, then side BC=? It is a right triangle with the 90 degree angle at the top point of the triangle. So the triangle has A on right point of triangle, B on top point of triangle(where 90 degree angle is) and C on left point of triangle. I tried to solve by using tan, but the answer is not correct. The answer sheet says the answer is 5 sq rt 3. We haven't been taught how to do sine or cosine yet so I don't believe that will help me.

Question 934375: In the figure below XZ is parallel to YZ. Find the measure of angle XYZ and the measure of angle ZYX.
I don't know if BBCode is here so I made a sketch of the problem in a Google Document. Here is the picture: http://imgur.com/QLcZH7T
I set it up as so:
3n-7+n = 180
4n = 187
n = 46.75
I don't think this is right because on my whole paper, which is 25 questions, this is the only answer that came out to be a decimal and I highly doubt it's right so I came here for help.
Thank you if you can help.

Question 934370: The measure of the largest angle of a triangle is twice the measure of the smallest angle. The measure of the third angle is 10 degrees less than the measure of the largest angle. I don't know if I set this up right, so I am looking for the right answer.
What I did:
X + 1/2X - 10 = 180
1.5X = 190
X = 126.6 repeating.
I don't think that's right.
Thank you.
