Question 863029: Hi! Can you please help me with this problem?
It's pretty simple, from what I can tell, but I just can't get my head around it - I'm stuck, unfortunately.
I need to work out the areas of a couple right-angled triangle. I know I need to use this formula: 1/2 x base x height. So, using that, how can I work out the area of triangle AEF (base = √5 + 3, height = 1) and triangle CDE (base = √5 + 1, height = √5 + 1/2).
I hope you don't mind that I've added two problems!
Thank you so much for your help in advanced! :)
