Question 509847: Thank you in advance. Need help, textbook show lousy examples to explain process needed to solve problem. This problem is confusing to me, The triangle appears to be scalene, there are no cong.sides of this triangle picture of the graph in the book.
The question is Triangle ABC has vertices A(0,8), B (6,0), C(15,0)
(B and C lie on the same line in the diagram, A is angled up toward the left then angles down to meet C)
USE THE DISTANCE FORMULA to find;
AB=
AC=
BC=

Question 510893: How do you solve the perimeter of an isosceles triangle with variables in the equation for each side? I tried solving for x, but when I plugged it into the equation it did not give me two equal sides, as an isosceles triangle is supposed to have.

Question 511010: The largest angle of a triangle is 6 times the smallest angle and it is 3 times the other angle. Find the size of the smallest angle.
A. 40 degrees
B. 30 degrees
C. 20 degrees
D. 10 degrees
So far I have tried all answers but they don't come to 180 degrees. My first thought was 30 degrees because then the other angle would be 90 but then that would require the largest angle to be 180. Now there is a 200 degree triangle but I am not sure if I am correct.
All help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Ann
