If one side of a triangle is 4in and another side is 5in then what is the lenght of the third side
Let length of the side AB of the triangle be = 4inched
Let length of the side AC of the triangle be = 5 inches
Then the length of the side BC of the triangle = ?
Applying pythagros theorem we have,
BC^2 = AC^2 - AB^2
BC^2 = (5)^2-(4)^2
BC^2 = 25 - 16
BC^2 = 9
BC = sqr root of 9
side BC = 3 inches
Hence the third length of the third side = 3 inches
