Question 842635: Hello, please help me with my homework:
In an equilateral triangle, take a point inside of it and draw the altitudes from this point to the bases of the triangle. Name this altitudes with these letters x, y, z and prove that x+ y+ z=h , where h- is the altitude of the triangle.
Thank you!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Suppose ABC is an equilateral triangle and let P be the point inside of it. Consider the areas of triangles ABP, ACP, and BCP, and express them in terms of x, y, z, and the side length. Also, use the fact that [ABP] + [ACP] + [BCP] = [ABC] where [k] denotes the area of k. That should lead you to a solution.
