You can put this solution on YOUR website!
it would help to know the hlargest side?
if 9 is the largest side this is how it will look
a and b are the small sides c is largest side
a%5E2%2Bb%5E2=c%5E2
a%5E2%2B5%5E2=9%5E2
a%5E2%2B25=81
a%5E2=56
a=sqrt%2856%29
a=2sqrt%2814%29
.
if the largest side is missing and a=5 b=9 then this is how it looks
a%5E2%2Bb%5E2=c%5E2
5%5E2%2B9%5E2=c%5E2
25%2B81=c%5E2
106=c%5E2
sqrt%28106%29=c

How do u find the possible range of numbers for the third side? For example if im give numbers 9 and 5 how do find the third side?
-----------
The 3rd side's length has to be greater than the difference of the other 2, and less than the sum of the other 2.
For this one, s > 4 and s < 14
4 < s < 14
