Question 560778: I'm given a triangle to solve using trigonometry basics in my honors geometry class, in my text book I have the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle(4.5) and I have solved for all the angles(90 degrees by 26 degrees by 64 degrees) I do not know what trig function to use to find the missing 2 legs. I have more problems set up this way and would like to know how to solve this type of problem and not just the answer. THANKS!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
We have a right triangle:

We can use either sine or cosine to find the other two lengths. If you recall the definition of sine, for example, we have

Then solve for a and b. Make sure your calculator is in degrees instead of radians.
