Question 509144: Good evening,
My questions to you are:
1. Find the missing side (C) of a right triangle that has a side (A) of 7 inches and a side (B) of 8 inches..
2. What is the surface area of a gas chamber that measures 13 feet wide, 13 feet high, and 13 feet long.
3. Find the volume of a cylindrical water tank that has a radius of 7.5 feet and a height of 30 feet.
Thank you,

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1. Find the missing side (C) of a right triangle that has a side (A) of 7 inches and a side (B) of 8 inches.
Assuming c is the long side, or hypotenuse,
c%5E2+=+a%5E2+%2B+b%5E2+=+49+%2B+64+=+113
c+=+sqrt%28113%29 =~ 10.63 inches.
Usually CAPS are used for the angles and lower-case for the sides.

2. What is the surface area of a gas chamber that measures 13 feet wide, 13 feet high, and 13 feet long.
It's a cube, all sides equal.
Area of each side = 13*13 = 169 sq ft.
6*169 = 1014 sq ft
-----------------------
3. Find the volume of a cylindrical water tank that has a radius of 7.5 feet and a height of 30 feet.
Vol+=+pi%2Ar%5E2%2Ah+=+pi%2A7.5%5E2%2A30+=+1687.5%2Api cubic ft
Vol =~ 5301.44 cubic ft
