Question 446370: I am an under grad college newbie, I am struggling with an assignment question pertaining to finding the area in a triangle figure. The question asks to find the area in this figure. 5/4m is inside the triangle and 10/7 is below the triangle? What is the formula to come up with the correct answer?

if 5/4 is the height
10/7 is the base
then area
Area = 1/2 * base * height
Area = 1/2 *5/4 * 10/7
Area =50/56===>25/26 sq. units
