You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A2+B2+C2
50(50)-30(30)
2,500-900=1,600
Square root of 1,600 is 40

The 3rd side is 40 meters

----------------
"right triangle is 50 meters long" makes no sense.
---------------
If 50 is the hypotenuse:
a%5E2+%2B+b%5E2+=+c%5E2
30%5E2+%2B+b%5E2+=+50%5E2
b%5E2+=+1600
b = 40 meters
--------
If 50 is not the hypotenuse:
a%5E2+%2B+b%5E2+=+c%5E2
30%5E2+%2B+50%5E2+=+c%5E2
c%5E2+=+3400
c =~ 58.31 meters
