The is an SAT question.
For 30-60-90 triangles if the short leg is 1, then the hypotenuse is 2 and the long leg is sqrt(3). Memorize this.
That is all you have to know.
Now you can set up a proportion.
Let x be the hypotenuse.
x/6=2/sqrt(3)
x=12/sqrt(3)
We are not done yet because we can't leave a sqrt in the denominator so we must multiply top and bottom by sqrt(3).
x=12sqrt(3)/3
=4sqrt(3)
