: I am not having that much difficulty with Geometry, basically I am new to it. I tend to get in some trouble with it, when it comes to solving the equation. With this it says:
*If x and 3x-10 represant the measure of the acute angles of a right triangle, find the value of x.*
Please help me, Thank You=) This question is from textbook geometry
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The sum of the measures of the interior angles of any triangle is 180 degrees. If it is a right triangle, one of the angles has to measure 90 degrees, so the sum of the measures of the two acute angles must be 180 minus 90 = 90 degrees. You are given that the measures of these two angles are x and 3x-10, so we can say that:
Check: One of the angles is 25, the other is 3(25)-10 = 65
25 + 65 = 90
