Question 1194154: Point p(-5,-8) is on the terminal arm of the angle ,θ, in standard position. Determine all the values of θ for -540 degrees ≤ θ ≤ 270 degrees

I found the principal angle of 238 degrees and the related acute angle of 58 degrees. Then I am stuck from there for the other values.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

If 238 degrees is determined correctly (I did not check it), then all others are those that greater or lesser

than 238 by 360*n degrees, where n is any integer.

So, you should consider all the angle measures of this form 238 +/- 360n in the given interval.

Comment from student :   this is the part that i dont get Determine all the values of  θ  for   -540 degrees ≤ θ ≤ 270 degrees

the answers are :   238,  -122  and  -182.

My response :   238 - 360 = -122.     Your value in your comment is correct.

238 - 720 = -482.     Your value in your comment is not correct.
