Question 1187795: One side of triangle has an equation of 2x - 5 next side has 3x + 20 and the last side has 2x. I need to solve for x
My answers: x = 3
I'm having trouble because i know all sides are supposed to equal 180 and when I replaced x with 3 for all sides it didn't add up to 180

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How all sides "supposed to be " 180? Do you mean "sum of the measures of the interior angles?

Refer to the Triangle Inequality Theorem, and you may find x; or a set of values which x can be.
