take a look at bases:
the length of the base of greater triangle is the distance from -9 to 9=> the length is 18
the length of the base of smaller image is the distance from -8 to 2=> the length is 6
so, the base of greater triangle to the base of smaller image is 18%2F6=3
The scale factor is3
