I am confused as hell. I am watching videos and looking at my notes and all and I still am confused as hell. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Find the distances in the x and y directions from the center of the dilation to each given vertex.

Then multiply each of those distances by the scale factor 1/2 to find the corresponding distances from the center to each vertex of the dilated triangle.

Finally move those new distances from the center to find the vertices of the dilated triangle.

For example....

The distances in the x and y directions from the center (-2,-5) to point A(-2,4) are 0 and 9. Multiply those distances by 1/2 to get 0 and 4.5. Move those new distances from the center to find the coordinates of A'.

x: -2+0 = -2
y: -5+4.5 = -0.5

A'(-2,-0.5)

Do the same thing to find B' and C'.
