Question 1107571: Lucas makes the statement: "The exterior angles of a triangle are always obtuse. "of the following, which provides a counterexample to the statement?
A. Isosceles Triangle
B. Equilateral Triangle
C. Right Triangle
D. Acute Triangle
P.S can u also email me the answer choice and why

Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

With a right triangle, one of the angles is a 90 degree angle. The exterior to this interior angle is also 90 degrees. This is because 90+90 = 180, or 180-90 = 90.

However you view it, the exterior angle in this case is not obtuse. This is a counterexample to Lucas' statement which is why choice C is the answer
