so, if
CD=3y
DE=30
and CE=45
we can say that
CD< DE+CE
or
3y< 30+45
3y< 75
y< 75%2F3
y < 25
also, in triangle one side is always greater then the difference of two other sides,
so,
CD> CE-DE
3y> 45-30
3y> 15
y> 15%2F3
y >5
