Question 978155: Find the partial fraction decomposition by setting up a system of equations and solving for A and B:
(7x-1)/((x+2)(x-3))= A/(x+2) + B/(x-3)
Is this as simple as solving for one variable then substituting for the other? Or is there something more to this that I am not understanding?

Question 978331: Hi
I tried this problem and got the answer x=7 but I see the answer as x=-7. Which one is right?
16-4x=-2(x-1)
Also I would think twenty four subtracted from 3 times a number is 12. Written like this 24-3x=12 but again I see the answer as 3x-24=12. Which one is right?
