Question 796942: solutions of three equations in three variables
x+y+z=4
2x+y-z=1
2x-3y+z=1
i want to eliminate z first so i believe i take equations 2 & 3 and add them and my result is:
2x+y-z=1
+ 2x-3y+z=1
------------------

Question 805611: hello, i'm really confused how to start off this equation; i've been told that i have to put it into the general formula ax^2 + bx + = 0 (is that even correct also?) here is the simultaneous equation: (Solve for x and y)

p.s. i hope i've written the question clearly enough, since it's my first time on this site
thank you in advance :)

Question 815483: Is it possible for an equation to have a solution but no graph? Here's the problem: 2/x + 3/y = 2, 4/x - 9/y + 1. The solution I got was x=2, y=3. But I don't know what to do when getting x and y intercept since there's undefined. (like 3/0 and 9/0)
