Question 370589: I have two problems each have three set of equations in them. The first problem is x+y+2z=5 x+y=5 x+3y+z=11 the next problem is 2x+2y+4z=10 3x+3y=15 4x+12y+4z=44. Now I have already solve for x,y,z for both of these problems but my next question was to find the diference between the two systems. Im not quite sure on what to do.

Question 373868: Solve the system.
Log base x (2y) =3
Log base x (4y)=2
I did the change of x^3 = 2y then 2y = x^3 for the first equation. Then, I did the same for the second one. x^2 = 4y. I was trying to solve for y on the first one but I am confused now.
Thank you.

Question 375882: SOlve using the multiplication principle first, then use the elimination method:
7p+5q=2
8p-9q=17, I came up with p=1, q=1, however I plugged this into a different site to double check my work and was told something different.

Question 376791: Hi - my tutor is out of town and am stuck on this problem. Solve this sytem of equations for real number solutions: y=x^2-4 and x^2 = y^2 = 10 So far I have done this:
x^2 + y^2 = 10
-X^2 = y = -4
y^2 + y = 6
y^2 + y - 6 = 0
(y-2) (y + 3) = 0
y-2 = 0 y + 3 = 0
Y = 2 and y = -3
am now stuck
Thanks for your assistance
