Question 288664: Find the points of intersection, if any, of the graphs in the system. Give the solution of: 4x^2 - 56x + 9y^2 + 160 = 0 and 4x^2 + y^2 - 64 = 0. Please and thank you. please please help me find the right solution for x and y, I had some help and they told me that the equation to solve was 4x^2-56x+9-(-4x^2+64)+160=0, but I'm stuck on how to solve this, please help! thank you

Question 289015: Hi Thank you for your help. I think this may be the topic.
I've been trying to figure out this word problem, but for some reason I think the answer is 40 miles:
A car rental agency rents a certain car for $40 per day with unlimited mileage or $24 per day plus $0.20 per mile. How far can a customer drive this car per day for the $24 option to cost no more than the unlimited mileage option?
I have set up like this: 0.20x + 24y (less than or equal to) 40 and I solved for X by making y 0 and dividing 40 by .20 which gave me 200. Then I multipied that by $0.20 per mile which gave me the answer of 40. Please let me know where I went wrong or if I even understood the question.
Thank you!

Question 289082: Which ordered pair is a solution of the system of equations y=x^2-x-20 and
y=3x-15?
I did do some work i did
y=x^2-x-20
y=(x^2-5x)(4x-20)
y= x(x-5) 4(x-5)= y=(x+4)(x-5)
and
y=3x-15
y=3(x-5)
but i don't know what to do from there, i would appreciate the help
