Question 142781: Solve the system by the elimination method.
0.3x-0.2y=4
0.4x+0.5y=-55/17
Multiply equations by 10 to eliminate decimals.
3x-2y=40
4x+5y= -550/17
Then to eliminate y multiply the first equation by5 and the second equation by 2.
15x-10y=200
8x+10y=-1100/17
