Question 861065: System of equations.
How do I solve this:
2x+4y+z=-3
3x-4y-z=-22
2x+y+2z=-3
I tried with 1 and 2 eliminating y and Z, but got stuck on how to find y and z.
Thank you much!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Hi,
2x+4y+z=-3
3x-4y-z=-22 ++highlight_green%28x+=+-5%29+
3x-4y-z=-22 |multiplying by2 added to second
2x+y+2z=-3
8x - 7y = -47
-40 - 7y = -47
-7y = -7, ++highlight_green%28y+=+1%29+
2x+4y+z=-3
-10 + 4 + z = -3
z = 3
x=-5, y=1, and z=3
