Hi,
Let x and y represent the number that will fit in a van and car respectively
Question states***
3x + y = 22
2x + 4y = 28 |Solve this system of Equations to find x and y
-12x - 4y = -88
2x + 4y = 28
-10x = -60
x = 6, the number that will fit in a van.
CHECKING our answer*** y = 4 will fit in a car |Using 3x + y = 22 18%2By+=+22
Using 2x + 4y = 28
8 + 24 = 28
