Question 82815: i am still working on homework and i need help with another problem if someone has a kind enought heart to help!! the problem is:
6x^2_<20+7x thats one of those less than or equal things, now do i need to get the 6x^2 on the other side and set it to zero and solve it like a quadratic?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Here it is....
Ok you transfer 6x^2 to the other side...
It becomes
0_%3C20%2B7x-6x%5E2
Not that the solution set of the answer CANNOT be described in terms of for numbers and values. It can only be described by a graph.
To find the solution set and\ show it with a graph, you first find the vertex (h,k) of the quadratic equation. Probably it is a parabola facing downward. Next use test point (0,0) and subtitute it.
Hence if we substitute it, we will have:
0_%3C20, which is true. Hence the soluton set would be the graph of the parabola shaded on the part where (0,0) belongs.
