Question 82812: I have been over this one for two days now (messing with my weekend) and I still cant understand the book when it lays it out for me. If someone who is good in math could explain the steps for me that would be good for me.
a polynomial function of degree 5 with rational coefficients has 4, 2-the square root sign5 and 2+i as zeros. find the other zeros.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
certain types of zeros (roots) occur in "conjugate pairs" ... if a+bi is a zero, then a-bi is also

if a%2Bsqrt%28b%29 is a zero, then a-sqrt%28b%29 is also

since degree 5 means 5 zeros, the other zeros are 2-i and 2%2Bsqrt%285%29
