Commutative Property of Addition:

The line y=x-2 is a boundary for the region and this line is NOT part of the region.

y is GREATER than -2 on the y axis, which is for x=0. The slope is 1 for the non-included boundary line, but the slope otherwise does not much affect the region of the inequality.
