ok, multiply the first equation by 2.

Re-arrange second equation to say 2x^2 =. Sub this into the first equation, to give 2y%5E2+%2B+y+-+21+=+0 which can be factorised... you get 2 answers for y. Put both into one of the equations to find the equivalent x-values.
