y=-x+5
y=2x-4

y+=+-+x+%2B+5____eq__%28i%29
y+=+2x+-+4_____eq_%28ii%29

Since y = - x + 5, and y = 2x - 4, then:
- x + 5 = 2x - 4
- x - 2x = - 4 - 5
- 3x = - 9

x+=+%28-+9%29%2F-+3, or highlight_green%28x+=+3%29

y = - 3 + 5 ------ Substituting 3 for x in eq (i)

highlight_green%28y+=+2%29

You can do the check!!
