X^2-2x-24=0
factor the expression : X^2-2x-24---> (x-6)(x+4)
(x-6)(x+4)=0
x-6=0---> x=6
x+4=0---> x=-4
The answers are: x=6 and x=-4
Or apply the formula x+=+%28-b+%2B-+sqrt%28+b%5E2-4%2Aa%2Ac+%29%29%2F%282%2Aa%29+ in the given expression a=1, b=-2, c=-24
