A. The sales representative informs you that there are 56 houses for sale with two floor plans still available. Use x to represent floor plan on and y to represent floor plan two. Write an equation that illustrates the situation.

Hi,
A. 56 houses still available for sale with two floor plans: x(plan1) and y(plan2)
x + y = 56
B. three times as many homes available with the second floor plan than the first
substituting 3x for y
x + 3x = 56
Note: 4x = 56 with x =14
