y=2x-4 and y=2x-6. Notice that the slopes, given by the coefficient on x are equal. That means that the lines are parallel. The fact that the y-intercepts are not equal further tells you that these are not the same line. So you have a system with no elements in the solution set.

The graph supports this notion because you can see that the two lines are different lines and will never intersect.
