1. If the graph of the equations consists of parallel lines, since parallel lines never intersect. By "solution of system of equations", we mean the point at which the lines intersect. In the Euclidean plane, two lines will not intersect at more than one point.
2. Verify whether the lines are parallel. If two lines are parallel, then they have the same slope and different y-intercepts, e.g. y=8x+2 and y=8x+4
