What is the equation of the line where the slope is 2/3 and passes through (6, -4)?
:
The slope/intercept form y = mx + b, where
x = 6
y = -4
m = 2/3
Find b
-4 = 2%2F3(6) + b
-4 = 4 + b
-4 - 4 = b
b = -8
the equation: y = 2%2F3x - 8

You can see when x=6, y=-4

y+4=(2/3)(x-6) using the point slope formula where y-y1=m(x-x1)
y=(2/3)x-4-4=(2/3)x-8
