Question 828031: Question: AT and BT are tangents to a circle, center O and radius 10cm. The length of the arc AB is 16cm. find (a)the size of angle AOB. (b)the area of triangle ABT.

i solved (a) and it was 1.6 radians, however i couldn't find a way to calculate the area of triangle ABT as the shape OATB is a Kite and we only have the radius, angle AOB and angles TAO=TBO=pi/2

Question 831223: Hi there, I have a question where we are given the dimensions of a box : 18x20x6 , the box needs to have a larger volume of at least 5280. The question asks us to find the minimum dimensions of the box, but the length, width and height have to increase by the same amount.
By doing guess and check I figured out the dimensions of 22x24x10 which increases each by 4, but I am unsure of how to figure this out algebraically.
Thanks.

Question 831642: A garden space is made up of two overlapping rectangles. One rectangle measures 8' x 5'. The other rectangle measures 5' X 8'. The area where the rectangles overlap measures 15 square feet. What is the total surface area of the garden. Found SA = 2(wh+lw+lh) since we don't have height, just going with lw. SA-15 = 2(13*13) = 154 Not sure if you add the two rectangles lengths together to get 13 for each the length and height. 3rd grade math and I am 30 and can't answer it convincingly! Sigh...
