Question 481463: How do I find the surface area and volume of a frustrum? I have looked it up and it says there are special formulas but I have not learned those and I remember my teacher teaching us a specific way in which you find the larger cone and then subtract the smaller cone?? Help please!

6. Differentiate the function and be sure to simplify your answer. Now use the derivative function to find the value of the radius when the Surface Area is a minimum, and then find the minimum Surface Area.

Question 484458: A cuboid of volume 1125cm^3 has length equal to three times the breadth.
(A)- show that the surface area of the cuboid may be expressed as 6x^2+3000/x
(B) - find the dimensions of the cuboid that give the minimum surface area.
I think i have a right, just need to check but i am completely stuck on b, help would be much appreciated.
the breadth is x and the length is 3x.

Question 485572: I need to convert my standard measurements to metrics. Each dimension in centimeters, then I need to calculate the volume in cubic centimeters.
My measurements are:
w = 13'3" (159")
L = 16'3" (195")
H = 10 (120")
The sq feet is 967.62- rounded to 968 sq ft
I don't understand if I am to add or multiply the lwh to find the volume
