Question 445582: I think I am doing this wrong because I got an answer 36 pi cm2. But my teacher marked it off as wrong. I looked it up online and people gave the same answer. Did my teacher just mark it off wrong by accident? The question is: find the surface area of the hemisphere with radius 3 cm in terms of pi.

Question 445763: find the surface area of the prism to the nearest hundreth. the bases are right triangles. to the left of the first base next to the right triangle symbol it is the number 3.at the bottom of that base it is 4. and then on the hypotenuse of that triangle it is 5. and the height is 3.5. i found the lateral area first and used the formula LA=ph i got (4+3+5)(3.5)and that came to 42. i then used the formula SA=LA+2B(area of the base). i did 42+2(4(multiplied)by 4) and got 74. the quiestion is multiple choice.
A.)30.5
B.)54
C.)49.45
D.)52.44

Question 445741: a cylinder has a lateral area of 120(pie) square meters, and a height of 7 meters. find the radius. round to the nearest tenth. i tried to lable the cylinder with the height and i know where the radius is suppose to go but i am not sure how to get the amswer to this quiestion. i would greatly appreciate the help thank you for your time.

Question 446710: Thank you for answering my question before, but my teacher said it was still wrong. The main word in the equation is 'hemisphere' she said....so now I am very confused =(. The question is: find the surface area of the hemisphere with radius 3 cm in terms of pi. it is not 36 pi cm 2.

sa= 6s2 but I am sure this is wrong.

The second question is: determine the volume of a large circle of 12cm, with a smaller circle inside of it that is 6cm? I do not even know where to start on this or even how to show all of my work.

Question 450556: A square room measure 12 by 12 and has a carpet fully laid in it. Another rectangle room measures 16 by 9. Both the rooms have the same area. We want to pick the carpet from the square room and fit it in the rectangle room. We can only cut the carpet twice. Any solutions.
