Question 371885: Sean is ordering his senior class ring. The price of the ring is $181.45. If he must pay a sales tax of 7.25%, what will the final price of the ring be?
I took 181.45 * 7.25% and rounding up got that tax would be 13.16 and added to the price of the ring or 181.45 + 13.16 = 194.61
Did I do it correctly? If not can you show me the steps I did wrong?

Question 381140: The outside dimensions of a picture frame are 3 feet by 29 inches. If its inside dimensions are 1 2/3 feet by 22 inches, what is the area of the frame?
I've tried to do length times width on both sizes but the answer is a multiple choice and none of the answers I've come up with are a choice. Here's what I've tried...outside-- 36 inches x 29 inches= 1044 inches or 87 feet
inside-- 20 inches x 22 inches= 440 inches or 36.66 feet
answer choices are A) 137.33 ft2 B) 616 in2 C) 144.67 ft2 D) 604 in2

Question 383435: I am working on a take home test that is due tomorrow. I seem to be struggling with lateral area and surface areas. Can you please help me understand.
The lateral area of a cone is about 226.2 square meters. If the slant height of the cone is 12 meters, what is the surface area to the nearest tenth.
Please help I have take home test due tomorrow and this is where i am struggling.
