Question 955391: Given that total surface area is 96pi(2 deciimal places 301.59) and the slant height l is 10 can you find me r?or h?Doesn't matter which one is it as I will be able to work out the other one.Thanks! Answer by macston(5194) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! A=area=96(pi); r=radius; s=slant height=10 Divide each side by pi. Subtract 96 from each side.
(r-6)(r+16)=0
r-6=0, r=6
r+16=0, r=-16 (We can ignore this.)
r=6 ANSWER 1: Radius is 6. = ANSWER 2: Height is 8.
