You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I assume your room is square measuring 12 feet by 12 feet,
with a surface area of 144 square feet.
What size tiles do you have?

If you only have square tiles that measure 1 foot by 1 foot,
each would have an area of 1 square foot, and you would need 144 tiles.
If use tiles of a different size, you may need more or less tiles.

If you use square tiles measuring 2 feet by 2 feet (rather large),
each tile will have a surface area of %282feet%29%2A%282feet%29=4squarefeet . Then you will need
144%2F4=36 tiles.

If you use square tiles measuring 18 inches (1.5 feet) by 18 inches,
each tile will have a surface area of %281.5feet%29%2A%281.5feet%29=2.25squarefeet . Then you will need
144%2F2.25=64 tiles.
