For perimeter, add the lengths together, starting at the bottom right and moving clockwise.
P=4x%2B4%2B3x%2B6%2B4x%2B4%2Bx%2B2x%2B2%2B3%2B2%2Bx%2B2%2B3%2B2x%2B2
P=17x%2B28
For the area, think of the letter as 5 rectangles stacked on top of each other.
The area of a rectangle is A%5Br%5D=L%2AW
Some of the widths you have to calculate using subtraction.
Starting at the bottom again,
