Hi,

Note: Area is in cm^2
The area of rectangle lies between 40cm^2 and 45cm^2. (If one of the sides is 5 cm)
Using the Pythagorean Theorem
A = 40cm^2 (8cmx5cm) ⇒ diagonal = sqrt%288%5E2+%2B+5%5E2%29+=+sqrt%2889%29+=+9.4
A = 45cm^2 (9cmx5cm) ⇒ diagonal = sqrt%289%5E2+%2B+5%5E2%29+=+sqrt%28106%29=+10.3
