The length of a line from the point to the midpoint of any side
= sqrt%281.5%5E2+%2B+8%5E2%29+=+sqrt%2866.25%29
Each of the 4 faces is 2 right triangles with sides of 1.5 and sqrt(66.25)
Area of each face = 1.5*sqrt(66.25)
Times 4 = 6*sqrt(265/4) = 3*sqrt(265) sq cms

The area of the base is 9 sq cm
