You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Draw a perpendicular from O to one of its base. SAY OT.
the triangle formed is 30-60-90
with hypotenuse as 10.
side opposite to 60 deg is %28sqrt%283%29%2F2%29%2Ahypotenuse
the side will be 5sqrt%283%29
the chord of the circle is the side of the triangle.
side of triangle = 2*5sqrt%283%29 = 10sqrt%283%29
Area of equilateral triangle = %28sqrt%283%29%2F4+%29%2A+s%5E2
s= 10sqrt%283%29
AREA = %28%28sqrt%283%29%29%2F4+%29%2A+%2810sqrt%283%29%29%5E2=129.9

Area of circle = +pi+%2A+r%5E2
=3.14 *10*10
=314 sq units
the difference is the area of shaded portion
area of circle - area of triangle
