Question 65376: The voloume of the box is represented by (x^2 + 5x + 6)(x + 5). Find the polynomial that represents the area of the bottom of the box.
I guess I can not seem to figure out where to start on this type of problem. I can see some of the equations but from there how do I figure out only one piece of the box? Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The volume of the box is represented by (x^2 + 5x + 6)(x + 5). Find the polynomial that represents the area of the bottom of the box.
-------------
Volume=(x+3)(x+2)(x+5)
The area of the bottom could be the product of any two of the factors
that make up the volume.
Could be (x+3)(x+2)
Could be (x+3)(x+5)
Could be (x+2)(x+5)
