You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Width = area/length (It may require unit conversion)
Area = 53.3 sq ft.
Length = 8.2 in = 8.2/12 ft.
Width = 53.3/(8.2/12)=53.3*12/8.2 = 78
The rectangle is 78 feet wide
Did you notice that the width is much larger than the length? Check your problem.

Hello!
The formula for the area of a rectangle is Width*Length
Area+=+Width%2ALength
We know that the are is 53.3 sq ft and that the length is 8.2 in. Before plugging these values into the equation, we must convert everything to the same units. Let's convert everything to inches. We know that 1 sq ft is equal to 144 sq in. So we have:
53.3 sq ft are equivalent to 53.3*144 = 7675.2 sq in.
So now we get the equation:
7675.2+=+Width%2A8.2
Width=7675.2%2F8.2
Width=936
So the rectangle is 936 in wide.

I hope this helps!
