If the cube has six-inch sides, then its volume (L*W*H), is:
V+=+6%2A6%2A6
V+=+6%5E3
V+=+216cubic inches.
...and its surface area is six times the area of each face and the area of each face is 6*6:
S+=+6%2A6%2A6
S+=+6%5E3
S+=+216 square inches.
