You can put this solution on YOUR website!
john wants to cover his workbench with 10cm vinyl tiles. the surface area of the bench is 3.4 meters squared. how many tiles are needed to cover the bench?
Area of bench = 3.4 sq. meters
1m=100 cms
1sq. mtrs= 100cms *100cms
3.4 sq. mtrs = 3.4 * 100*100 cms. Squared.
Area of vinyl tile = 10 *10 sq. cms. ( L*W)
No of tiles = Area of bench / area of tile
34000 / 100
= 340 tiles
